Channel Lines

Channel Lines are two parallel lines showing the upper and lower bands of the current trend. The Trend Line, which is the lower line, is a support line and the upper line is a resistance line. Prices in the current trend tend to stay between the two lines, finding support at the lower line and resistance at the upper line.

As the price oscillates between these lines, failure to reach one of the lines indicates that the current trend marked by those boundaries is losing strength. A breakout above the upper channel line indicates an accelerating trend. A breakout below the lower channel line may indicate a trend reversal.
